COUNCIL MINUTES

JANUARY 2, 2018

The regular meeting of the Pooler City Council was held on January 2, 2018.  Mayor Mike Lamb called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  Present were Councilman Bruce Allen, Councilwoman Rebecca Benton, Councilman Ashley Brown and Councilman Mike Royal.  City Manager Robbie Byrd and City Attorney Steve Scheer were also present. 

 

            The invocation was given by Councilman Allen and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Mayor Lamb.

 

            The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as printed upon a motion by Councilman Allen, seconded by Councilwoman Benton, with no opposition.

 

            The minutes of the December 18, 2017 Executive Session were approved upon a motion by Councilman Allen, seconded by Councilwoman Benton, with no opposition.

 

            Due to the lack of committee reports, Mayor Lamb stated that the Council would forego giving any reports.

 

Under OLD BUSINESS the following was discussed:

 

1.  Second Reading on amendment to Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control ordinance

            Mr. Byrd presented an amendment to the definition of Final Stabilization within the Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control ordinance.  Councilman Allen made a motion to approve the amendment as printed on Second Reading.  Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Benton and passed without opposition.

 

Under NEW BUSINESS the following was discussed:

 

1.  Agreement for Services with Thomas & Hutton for parcel recombination survey

            Mr. Byrd presented an agreement with Thomas & Hutton for surveying services for two (2) parcels recently acquired to recombine them into one (1) parcel to expand the recreation park.  Councilwoman Benton made a motion, seconded by Councilman Royal, to approve the agreement.  Motion passed without opposition.

           

                        There being no further business to discuss or the need for an Executive Session, Councilman Allen made a motion to adjourn at approximately 6:06 p.m.  Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Benton and passed without opposition.
