City Clerk

The City of Pooler Clerk preserves and provides public access to the City's official and historical records; provides support to the Mayor, City Council, and City Manager; and facilitates the City's overall legislative process.

The City Clerk also serves as Election Superintendent for Municipal Elections and qualifies all municipal candidates.

The City Clerk records Ordinances and Resolutions, as well as City Council related-materials such as Agendas & Minutes.

Copies of all public records are available through the City Clerk's Office by completing a Request for Open Records and submitting it to the City Clerks Office.

Special event means any activity which occurs upon private or public property, that will affect the ordinary use of public streets, rights-of-way or sidewalks. This includes, but is not limited to, fairs, festivals, foot runs and bicycle runs. An application for Parades and Demonstrations (Special Events) must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 30 days prior to the proposed event.  Each application will be considered for approval by the city council at a regular meeting. Once approved by the Council then a payment must be submitted to the Finance Department and the permit will be issued.
