MINOR WASTEWATER DISCHARGE REPORTED TO EPD:

DATE OF MINOR DISCHARGE: Wednesday, December 16, 2020
REPORT SUBMITTED: Thursday, December 17, 2020
LOCATION OF MINOR DISCHARGE: Ditch in the area of 6 AJ Garcia Rd close to the intersection of Pine Barren Rd. (32.098359, -81.234121)
CAUSE OF DISCHARGE: The cause of the discharge was a blocked sewer line.
ESTIMATED DISCHARGE: Estimated less than 5000 gallons.
RECEIVING WATERS: Drainage canal contiguous to the City’s storm water system.
CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN: Blockage was removed and Stormwater removed from the area and returned to sewer collection system for treatment. The affected
area was neutralized with calcium hydroxide.
SPILL STATUS: Sewage is no longer leaking
CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN TO PREVENT FUTURE DISCHARGE: Cleaning of debris that was blocking the line.
