REPORT SUBMITTED: Wednesday, June 30, 2021

LOCATION OF MINOR DISCHARGE: Ditch near the intersection of Pooler Pkwy and Durham Park Blvd. (32.126239, -81.259467)

CAUSE OF DISCHARGE: The cause of the discharge was a failed air relief valve.

ESTIMATED DISCHARGE: Estimated less than 4000 gallons.

RECEIVING WATERS: Pipemakers Canal, a tributary of the Ogeechee River.

CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN: The air relief was repaired. The affected area was neutralized with calcium hydroxide, and discharge was 90% recovered.

SPILL STATUS: Discharge is no longer leaking.

CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN TO PREVENT FUTURE DISCHARGE: Replacement of the air relief valve.
